I know you know…but Australia stands with the women of the US in their condemnation of your extremist high court ruling. Aside from this, our most recent census revealed LESS THAN 50% of Australians identify with any religion. And we certainly don’t believe religion has any place whatsoever in politics. Separation of church and state is paramount in any functioning democracy.
I read on Monday in Patreon that Roe v Wade would be overturned and soon. Yes it has been handed back to the states. Each state will set their own abortion laws. It is the dividing line in the sand I feel. Firstly, for the midterms and 2024…young people and women and the men that support them will want to see pro choice laws codified in Congress and they will vote for Democrats as a result. Secondly, this will set the southern states back decades. Would you want to live in a state that not only outlaws abortion but criminalises it too. Two Americas are now forming.
